Penn State Meteorology has renowned programs in forecasting, communications, weather risk and atmospheric science that are directed by an outstanding faculty. But creating a truly unique and integrated program in weather and climate risk forecasting and communications requires a significant endowment that will support the program’s faculty, students and activities. “We hope that our endowment will catalyze others to endow this program, which will keep the Penn State Department of Meteorology at the forefront of meteorology for generations." The Brunes’ endowment is one of the first small steps toward creating a truly dynamic and unique program and cementing Penn State Meteorology’s reputation as a national leader.
